Job summary

ICFAI is seeking a Registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform a full range of echocardiographic studies in a clinical setting. The role includes transthoracic, stress, and transesophageal echocardiography, as well as treadmill stress testing and comprehensive cardiac assessments.

The candidate will also perform 12-lead ECGs, arterial studies, and Holter monitor processing, with access to patient health information. Shift: 10 hrs per week, on site in Statesville, NC.

Qualifications

• Requires RDCS or RCS certification and accredited echocardiography training.
• Minimum 5 years echocardiography experience in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms.
• Perform stress echocardiograms.
• Perform transesophogeal echocardiograms.
• Conduct treadmill cardiac stress tests including exercise, pharmacologic, and nuclear medicine.
• Perform 12-lead electrocardiograms.
• Conduct peripheral arterial studies using segmental pressures.
• Operate Holter Monitor application and scanning.

Description

The Registered Cardio Sonographer performs transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, transesophogeal echocardiograms, treadmills, cardiac stress test (including exercise, pharmacologic, and nuclear medicine), 12-lead electrocardiograms, peripheral arterial studies using segmental pressures, and Holtor Monitor (application and scanning). Has full access to patient health information.

Shift: 10 hrs. per week

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited echocardiography program or minimum 5 years echocardiography experience in an acute care setting.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
• Computer skills preferred.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
