Job summary

Iredell Health System in Statesville, NC is seeking a Registered Cardio Sonographer to perform a range of echocardiography exams including TTE, stress, and TEE. Responsibilities include treadmill and pharmacologic cardiac stress tests and 12-lead ECGs, with access to patient health information.

The role requires RDCS or RCS credentials or equivalent experience, and basic computer skills. This is a part-time position with 10 hours per week, based in our facility.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited echocardiography program or minimum 5 years echocardiography experience in an acute care setting.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
• Computer skills preferred.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Conduct treadmill tests and cardiac stress testing (exercise, pharmacologic, nuclear medicine).
• Perform 12-lead ECGs and peripheral arterial studies.
• Manage Holter Monitor application and scanning and access patient health information.

Description

The Registered Cardio Sonographer performs transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, transesophogeal echocardiograms, treadmills, cardiac stress test (including exercise, pharmacologic, and nuclear medicine), 12-lead electrocardiograms, peripheral arterial studies using segmental pressures, and Holtor Monitor (application and scanning). Has full access to patient health information.

Shift: 10 hrs. per week

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited echocardiography program or minimum 5 years echocardiography experience in an acute care setting.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
• Computer skills preferred.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
