Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care procedures under medical direction, focused on assessment, treatment, and education of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. Responsibilities include airway management, ventilator operation, oxygen delivery, and documentation in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Licensure and/or certification requirements.
• 3-4 years of experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Airway management including nasotracheal & endotracheal suctioning.
• Delivery of aerosolized drugs.
• Ventilator management and setup/operation.
• Oral hygiene.
• Airway device management including BiPAP and CPAP devices.
• Oxygen delivery devices and monitoring.
• Chest film analysis.
• Blood gas collection and analysis.
• EKG analysis.
• Accurate and complete documentation.
