Job Description:
The Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiologic Technologist II (CIRT) is registered by the state of California Radiologic Association and possesses a California state fluoroscopy permit. The CIRT has responsibility, training, and competence with diagnostic, routine, and complex interventional cardiac angiographic and cardiac implant procedures. The duties also include routine and complex vascular, peripheral vascular, non-vascular, interventional, and trauma procedures. The technologist is trained in OR radiographs. CIRT’s must have a combination of technical, radiologic, and clinical skills. The CIRT is under the direction of the physician of record during a procedure and reports to the clinical coordinators and Director of Cardiology. The CIRT is responsible, accountable, and has the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality, cost-effective care according to the philosophy and goals of the Patient Care Division. Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patients. The CIRT supports the mission, vision, values, and expectation of excellence.
