Responsibilities

Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is seeking a full-time Clinic RN-Cardio for our Franciscan Heart and Vascular Associates in Burien, WA. This position is full-time with no weekends, nights, or recognized holidays.

Job Summary:

This role involves providing professional nursing services focused on quality care for cardiac patients in an ambulatory setting, aligned with CHI Franciscan Health standards, regulatory requirements, and FMG policies. The incumbent will engage in direct care of cardiac patients, including assessment, coordination, triage, evaluation, and delegation, as well as providing specialized cardiac consultation and education regarding procedures and disease management.

Essential Duties:

• Administer cardiovascular and pharmacological stress tests, interpret EKG findings, and use imaging modalities and IV therapy as appropriate.
• Complete cardiac risk assessments for providers requesting cardiac clearance for tests or protocols, and forward assessments to the Cardiologist.
• Review protocols for each procedure, providing tailored patient training based on medical history and physician protocols.
• Perform nursing triage activities as the initial contact, independently managing cardiac patient situations within scope of licensure, and escalate complex cases as needed.
• Document studies, procedures, and interactions in the electronic medical record, including orders.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing and two years of related experience, preferably in cardiology.

License/Certification:

• Current RN licensure in Washington State.
• Current ACLS certification.
