Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks a certified Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to operate ultrasound equipment, perform examinations, and communicate results to physicians. The candidate will interact with hospital staff and other departments, handle on‑call shifts as needed, and contribute to department accreditation efforts.

Qualifications

• Formal diagnostic medical sonography or cardiovascular technology training.
• BA/AS in sonography or cardiovascular tech desirable.
• Maintain CME requirements for specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic sonography examinations.
• Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and adapt procedures.
• Evaluate and communicate findings to the attending physician.
• Coordinate schedule and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain equipment, supplies and departmental QA.
