Job summary

Philips in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Acoustic Engineer for medical device applications focused on intracardiac echo imaging. You will apply ultrasound and signal processing theory to design and implement new imaging algorithms and transducer sub-systems.

You will tune ultrasound systems for optimum image quality, collaborate with marketing and product management, and contribute to feature requirements for clinical applications. This is an onsite role supporting rapid product development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with ultrasound signal and image processing
• Experience with ultrasound imaging, beamforming, acoustic wave propagation theory and transducer design
• Knowledge of clinical applications of cardiac ultrasound

Responsibilities

• Apply acoustic wave propagation and signal processing theory to design and specify new cardiac imaging algorithms and sub-systems
• Participate in design, development and implementation of new ultrasound imaging capabilities including plans, algorithms, and SW implementation
• Tune intracardiac echo ultrasound systems for optimum image quality and features
• Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to define new cardiac imaging feature requirements
