Job summary

UCSF Health seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner for its Cardiothoracic Surgery inpatient APP team. You will collaborate with CT Surgery Fellows, cardiac surgeons, and intensivists to manage patients across ICU and floor care, perform bedside procedures, and assist in the operating room.

Ideal candidates have NP licensure in California, a master’s or doctoral NP degree, and at least two years in the specialty.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing recognized Nurse Practitioner Program with a master’s or doctoral degree aligned with the patient population and clinical role.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience as a nurse practitioner in the same specialty and setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients collaboratively across the inpatient continuum of care (ICU and floor) with CT Surgery Fellows, Cardiac Surgeons, and Intensivists.
• Perform bedside procedures and may assist in the operating room.
• Contribute to a dynamic, collaborative inpatient APP team expanding with skilled surgeons from across the country.
