Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years in a health-related field.
• At least 1 year in cardiology or related area.
• Completion of a monitor technician course (or pass HUMC exam upon hire).
• Basic computer skills and tech familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms of patients required to be monitored.
• Observe telemetry system and report abnormal responses promptly.
• Admit and discharge patients from telemetry monitoring.
• Run rhythm strips per protocol.
• Ensure telemetry system functions (battery, setup, transmitter safety).
• Assess patient needs (age, culture, language, hearing/vision) and communicate appropriately.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
• Adhere to organizational competencies.
