Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is seeking a Telemetry Monitoring Technician to observe monitored EKG patterns and notify nursing staff of significant information. You will work in the Alaska Native Medical Center area to support safe patient monitoring and stability.

Responsibilities include interpreting rhythm strips, using telemetry equipment, and collaborating with the care team to ensure prompt, effective responses to cardiac events.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Knowledge of telemetry equipment.
• Skill in making quick decisions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain focused for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Interpret rhythm strips and interval measurements and document in patient chart.
• Operate and maintain telemetry boxes; ensure proper setup, cleaning, and battery use.
• Identify anomalies indicating change in patient status and respond to emergencies; activate Code Blue when needed.
• Communicate with RN/physician and relay pertinent cardiac status information.
• Maintain equipment and work space; troubleshoot basic monitor problems and arrange repairs.
• Assist with notation of orders and entry of patient data into the electronic health record; help with admitting, transferring, and discharge procedures.
