Job summary

Maimonides Medical Center is seeking a Monitor Technician to provide continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring for ER patients or those on inpatient telemetry. Under RN supervision, you will observe ECG monitors, interpret rhythms, and report changes to nursing staff, ensuring standards and policies are followed.

Part-time evening and night shifts are available. Responsibilities include setting up telemetry, documenting rhythm data, and aiding in ongoing patient care and admissions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Prior cardiac monitoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate telemetry and ECG equipment and ensure alarms are active.
• Observe multiple telemetry channels and report significant changes to RN/MD.
• Document rhythm changes and maintain telemetry logs.
• Assist with admissions/discharges and prepare equipment.
• Ensure monitors are functioning at shift start.
