Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, FL is seeking a Monitor Technician to support patient care on the telemetry floor under the supervision of a RN. You will monitor, recognize, and interpret cardiac rhythms and alert the nursing team to any deviations or emergencies.

Responsibilities include operating complex monitoring systems, recording ECG tracings, attaching electrodes, and maintaining accurate logs of patients' rhythm and status.

Qualifications

• Completion of Monitor Technician Extern program or equivalent
• ECG/EKG competency required; BLS often required

Responsibilities

• Identify arrhythmias and deviations in rhythm and intervene for patient safety.
• Operate telemetry systems and ECG rhythm screens to ensure continuous monitoring.
• Document ECG tracings and attach electrodes for monitoring.
• Notify nursing staff of changes and activate emergency response ifneeded.
