Qualifications

• Basic Rhythm Certification within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• BLS-HCP Certification upon hire or within 60 days with approval.
• Must pass a basic dysrhythmia test prior to orientation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and ensure accurate ECG readings.
• Interpret ECG data and report changes promptly to RN.
• Prepare, maintain and clean telemetry equipment and leads.
• Document ECG data, rate, rhythm and intervals in patient records.
• Assist in tracking patient locations and transport when needed.
• Perform crash cart checks at start of shift and maintain equipment logs.
