Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Telemetry Technician to observe, interpret, and record telemetry data for monitored patients and to deliver telemetry devices as needed. You will monitor alarms, ensure correct patient monitoring, and report significant cardiac rhythm observations to the health care team.

The role requires a high school diploma; CRAT certification is preferred, along with completion of an arrhythmia course or passing an arrhythmia exam on hire.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified rhythm analyst technician (CRAT) preferred.
• Successful completion of an approved arrhythmia course preferred or successfully passing an arrhythmia exam on hire.

Responsibilities

• Observes, interprets, and records the telemetry recordings for monitored patients.
• May monitor alarms where applicable.
• Delivers and applies telemetry boxes to patients.
• Ensures correct patient is being monitored.
• Reports significant observations of cardiac rhythms and other alarm information to the health care team.
• Communicates pertinent information to patients as necessary.
• Produces accurate and complete documentation.
• Complies with handoff communication process.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Education
