Job summary

Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, NY seeks a Telemetry Tech for the Central Monitoring team. You will monitor cardiac rhythms, perform EKGs during evenings or nights, and support RN and physicians with patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience as a Monitor Tech or with rhythm interpretation, and BLS/EKG competency within six months of hire. On-site work with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; ability to communicate with patients, visitors and staff both orally and in writing.
• Monitor Tech or fluent with Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation; six months patient care experience; EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• Course in cardiac arrhythmia interpretation with certificate; BLS current; EKG competency within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical and patient care tasks and continuous observation, interpretation, recording, and communication of cardiac rhythms of monitored patients.
• EKGs during evenings/nights when central coverage is unavailable.
• Maintains safety and accuracy in telemetry monitoring and collaborates with RN/physician.
