Job summary

Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA seeks a Telemetry Technician for the North Tele unit.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Dysrhythmia Recognition Course.
• Must have completed the Basic Arrhythmia course or demonstrate rhythm interpretation experience.
• ECG test will be required prior to job offer.
• Enrollment in an internally-developed orientation course as part of onboarding.
• Periodic competency assessments will be conducted.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required upon hire.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Coursework in Medical Terminology preferred.
• Approximately 6 months experience in a hospital environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perfoms cardiac telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia detection through continuous observation of the Central Monitoring system as a primary job responsibility.
• Performs department clerical duties as a collateral responsibility.
