Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast in Philadelphia, PA, seeks a telemetry monitor technician who provides continuous surveillance of cardiac patients and supports the nursing team. The role emphasizes safety, accurate data recording, and responsive communication to protect patient well‑being.

You will assist with equipment setup and troubleshooting, document readings and events, and collaborate across shifts to maintain high standards of care in a diverse hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to connect with diverse patient populations.
• Knowledge of health information documentation and record-keeping practices.
• Understanding of patient safety principles and risk mitigation.
• Training in life support and the ability to apply it in clinical scenarios.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and monitoring.
• BLS certification (AHA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and staff in a manner consistent with Jefferson Health values.
• Recognizes patients and designated care partners, delivering safe, compassionate, and coordinated care respectful of preferences and culture.
• Minimizes risk by following nursing practices and protocols and reporting concerns.
• Uses information systems to communicate, manage knowledge, and support ethical decisions.
• Continuously monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry, interpreting variations and communicating findings to the RN.
• Collects data, documents rhythms and events, and completes required reporting.
• Maintains and troubleshoots monitoring equipment and escalates issues per procedure.
