Job summary

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North is a 45-bed long-term acute care hospital offering extended recovery care with 24-hour clinical coverage seven days a week. This role monitors heart rhythms via telemetry, reviews patient information for rhythm patterns, and ensures timely alarm response to variances.

Responsibilities include setup of telemetry systems, routine maintenance, and accurate charting while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Satisfactory score on EKG interpretation competency test.
• Ability to accurately identify cardiac rhythms and understand their significance.
• Must have good and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Monitors telemetry of patients by observing telemetry monitors for changes in cardiac rhythms.
• Removes and cleans telemetry boxes when patient is discharged from telemetry.
• Maintains accurate records of telemetry patients.
• Immediately notifies RN or supervisor of rhythm changes.
• Assigns transmitters and wires and sets up the monitor system for all telemetry ordered patients.
• Troubleshoots transmitters and wires and sets up the monitor system for all telemetry ordered patients.
