Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a part-time Inpatient RN to provide direct patient care on the cardiac unit under the nursing process. The role includes 7pm–7:30am shifts with every-other-weekend/holiday coverage, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and opportunities for growth within a supportive governance structure.

Minimum hiring rate begins at $35.88 per hour with increases for experienced nurses and up to $7 shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible for licensure
• Specialty cardiac training or experience preferred
• Ability to assess patients and plan care according to policy

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate)
• Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications and diagnostics
• Complete assessments as per unit standards
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs of patients and families
• Coordinate and provide care plans with education and discharge planning
• Monitor and revise care plans based on patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team
• Troubleshoot equipment and ensure safety
• Participate in unit goals and quality/safety education
