Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Telemetry Unit at the Union location. The role involves 2 x 12-hour shifts per week with some holidays and weekends, and 24 hours per week total.

You will monitor patient conditions, administer prescribed therapies, document in EHR, and participate in care planning in a fast-paced cardiovascular unit. Ideal candidates have a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS certification, and typically 1 year of clinical nursing

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care
• Monitors patient conditions and collaborates with care team
• Maintains accuracy in EHR documentation
• Possibly floats to other units to meet patient care needs
• Respects age-specific patient needs and safety protocols
