Job summary

Methodist Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients. You will support the mission and strategic goals while delivering direct and indirect care across shifts.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, active BLS, Texas nursing license or eligibility, and at least 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting. Hours vary with a 12x3 night shift pattern specified in the posting.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Basic Life Support Certification.
Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
Work experience: 2 years RN experience.

Responsibilities

Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication, interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/important other educational process.
Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding.
Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility.
Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
Delivers medication and IV administration safely, accurately and promptly.
Takes personal responsibility for performance and professional growth.
Uses the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
