Job summary

Vetted Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Intermediate unit to provide evidence-based nursing care to intermediate acuity patients with complex medical, cardiac, and post-procedural needs.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and discharge planning, while collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in good standing.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and safe medication/IV administration practices.
• Ability to manage cardiac/telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately.
• Competence in wound care and post-procedural nursing.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient/family education skills.
• Commitment to collaborative care and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop/implement individualized nursing care.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy per clinical standards.
• Monitor patients using telemetry and respond to changes in condition.
• Provide wound care and manage post-procedural needs.
• Coordinate care with physicians and allied healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families to support understanding and self-management.
• Support safe discharge planning and transitions of care.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
