Job summary

Geisinger is hiring a full-time Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and up to $40,000 in support to become a RN. Evening, night, and weekend shift differentials up to $5 are available.

Cardiac nursing experience is preferred and a strong emphasis on compassionate care is noted. The role involves providing direct patient care, coordinating with the care team, discharge planning, and contributing to patient safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required).
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Contributes data to patient care assessment and planning.
• Promotes safety and patient/family education during care.
• Coordinates patient care with interdisciplinary team.
• Delivers direct patient care including treatments and medications.
• Evaluates nursing interventions effectiveness based on patient response.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to address patient needs.
• Participates in unit-based discussions on evidence-based practice.
• Precepts and mentors new staff and students.
