Job summary

CCMC Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct inpatient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. The role includes monitoring patients, administering medications, and contributing to the care plan.

You will perform designated procedures, document observations, and collaborate with the care team. A valid LPN license, BLS, and background checks are required; weekend/holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state where services will be provided or a multi-state LPN license through eNLC.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• State and federal background checks as required for regulated areas.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care per the patient’s plan of care and as directed by the overseeing role to promote comfort and functional health.
• Performs designated therapeutic procedures for assigned patients as needed.
• Observes, records, and reports patient concerns, symptoms, and progress in a timely manner.
• Assists physicians and the overseeing role with examinations and procedures as assigned.
• Contributes to nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and recording data.
• Observes condition changes and reports findings to the overseeing role.
• Participates in care plan development and prioritization to support comfort and function.
• Assists in patient and family education and rehabilitation per teaching plan.
• Documents nursing interventions and responses to care to the health care team.
• Administers medications (IM, subcutaneous, IV, oral, nebulization, MDI) as assigned.
• Obtains instruction and supervision as necessary from the overseeing role when implementing nursing techniques.
• Completion of annual required education related to specialty accreditation as defined by accreditation standards.
