Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY, is seeking a Cardiac Medical Unit assistant for a 0.9 FTE weekend role. You will provide direct patient care under a nurse, greet patients, and help orient them to the unit and routines.

You will assist with telemetry monitoring, EMR documentation, and care coordination, including patient transport. Kentucky SRNA certification and BLS within 90 days are required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• SRNA certification in Kentucky required on hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Greets and orients new patients to the hospital environment and unit routines.
• Provides direct patient care under supervision of a nurse.
• Assists with documentation of patient progress in the EMR.
• Participates in telemetry monitoring and rhythm assessment.
• Facilitates patient transport and bed placement as needed.
