Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System is seeking a Direct Nurse Manager to lead clinical operations, budgets and quality initiatives in a dynamic hospital setting in Fayetteville, NC.

The role requires NC RN licensure, a BSN (MSN preferred) and 3-5 years of nursing management experience. You will drive performance improvement, staff development and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• MSN or master’s degree in other health related field preferred.
• Nursing certification preferred.
• 3-5 years clinical experience related to nursing area of management required.
• 3-5 year of management or management-related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise clinical operations to provide care.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.
• Establish, in collaboration with interdisciplinary team, positive professional relationships.
• Facilitate team meetings, daily rounds and communication among patients, families, interdisciplinary team members and contracting agencies.
• Establish and maintain mechanisms to monitor compliance with regulatory standards (JCAHO, OSHA).
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control within the unit.
• Oversee staff competence for equipment use.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities and Quality Control.
• Collaborate with Care Coordination to identify barriers to throughput and facilitate discharges.
• Develop, implement and evaluate strategic plans and budgets to enhance patient care.
• Monitor patient experience, throughput and hospital capacity through HIP project compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
