Job summary

Sutter Medical Group in California is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Cardiovascular Surgery team in Sacramento/Roseville. You will assist surgeons in the OR, perform EVH, and manage pre- and post-operative care for cardiothoracic patients in ICU and telemetry units.

Candidates must hold PA-C certification with California licensure or eligibility, and have prior cardiothoracic surgery experience. BLS/ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• PA-C certification and California licensure (or eligibility) required.
• Prior cardiothoracic surgery experience required.
• Strong critical care background in ICU/telemetry.
• Effective communicator and team player; patient-centered.
• BLS/ACLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first assist in open-heart and thoracic procedures.
• Perform endoscopic vessel harvesting (EVH) for graft preparation.
• Manage pre- and post-operative care for cardiothoracic patients in ICU/telemetry.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, intensivists, and nursing staff.
