Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the cardiac surgery team at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital. This PRN opportunity focuses on providing excellent care to surgical patients as part of a thirteen-provider team.

You will perform postop rounds, offer office consultations with a designated surgeon once weekly, assist in OR EVH and chest closures, and care for LVAD patients, with comprehensive benefits from Piedmont.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of cardiac surgery/EVH experience.
• Master's or bachelor’s degree from an accredited PA/NP program with national certification.
• Georgia NP licensure or PA certification with national credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Round on postop patients
• Provide office consults one day per week with a designated surgeon
• EVH and chest closure in the OR
• Thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care
• Provide care to LVAD patients
