Job summary

The Hartford HealthCare Heart & Vascular Institute seeks a dynamic Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Surgery team. Under the supervision of a cardiothoracic surgeon, you will assist in procedures, participate in preop and postop care, and educate patients in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a PA Master’s degree, CT licensure or eligibility, and 2+ years in cardiovascular surgery or equivalent experience. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Master's program.
• Licensed or eligible for Connecticut Physician Assistant licensure.
• 2+ years in cardiovascular surgery preferred; open to strong new grads.

Responsibilities

• First assisting cardiovascular surgical procedures under a surgeon.
• Perform endoscopic vessel harvesting and preoperative assessments.
• Postoperative care in outpatient settings and patient education.
