Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health in Philadelphia invite applications for a 12-month Cardiac Surgery Fellowship. The fellow will participate in the Cardiovascular Surgery Service under direct supervision of attending cardiac surgeons.

Responsibilities include weekday nights and weekend days/nights for the service, and a requirement to hold a current, unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Requires current, unrestricted or institutional Pennsylvania medical license.
• Experience in cardiology, cardiac surgery or critical care medicine preferred.
• Applicants should provide Personal Statement, CV, USMLE scores/status and Letter of Recommendation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in preoperative workups and postoperative care under supervision.
• Serve as primary surgeon or first assistant based on case complexity.
• Attend mandatory core curriculum conferences and Cardiac Surgery M&M.
• Assist with outpatient clinics and multidisciplinary team activities.
