Cardiac Surgeon – Staten Island University Hospital

Northwell Health

The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Northwell Health and The Zucker School of Medicine seeks an adult Cardiac Surgeon to join our faculty at Staten Island University Hospital . The candidate will join Northwell Health’s well-established and experienced cardiac surgical program, one of the largest in New York State, with an annual case volume of well over 3,000 adult surgeries across our network.

The ideal candidate must be fellowship trained, ABS and ABTS Board Certified/Board Eligible, and have at least 3-5 years of experience .

The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at SIUH performs over 900 cardiac and thoracic-related surgeries annually, including open procedures, transcatheter-based therapies, and aortic aneurysm surgery, with excellent outcomes. For the past four years, the program has received a three-star quality rating from the Society of Thoracic Surgeons for Isolated CABG and a three-star quality rating for MVRR. The infrastructure dedicated to the program includes experienced and full-time PAs and NPs and 24/7 critical care intensivists under the Department of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery.

Staten Island University Hospital is a 714-bed teaching hospital that spans two campuses and provides a vast array of services in health and wellness.
