Job summary

Mercycare Service Corporation in Cedar Rapids is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Stroke Center, offering evening/night shifts and a competitive sign-on bonus up to $15,000. As a staff nurse, you will support patient-centered care and collaborate with a team to develop individualized care plans.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking and assessment skills while providing care to cardiac and neurology patients. A nursing degree and current Iowa RN license are required.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a registered nurse in Iowa required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support required.
• Previous RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clinically relevant information to patients and families.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills for patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care.
• Manage diverse patient populations including cardiac and neurologic patients.
