Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a supervisor to oversee inpatient and outpatient stress testing and exercise physiology services. You will assess cardiovascular and metabolic responses, collaborating with physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic testing and patient care.

You will select stress protocols, supervise tests (treadmill, nuclear, pharmacologic, stress echo, or graded cardio-pulmonary exercise), and interpret responses to support accurate reports while educating patients

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; strong clinical knowledge of cardiac A&P and hemodynamics.
• Proficient in selecting stress testing protocols and interpreting results.
• Recognizes arrhythmias and manages patient responses during tests.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and ability to work under emergency conditions.
• Knowledge of ACLS/BLS standards and relatedPennsylvania requirements.
• Experience with documentation and education for patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inpatient and outpatient stress testing or exercise testing.
• Select appropriate stress protocol based on history and evaluation.
• Monitor patient responses and coordinate with physicians as needed.
• Prepare patients and supervise tests (treadmill, nuclear, echo, etc.).
• Document data for final physician interpretation and reports.
• Educate patients on exercise, health and lifestyle changes.
• Participate in onboarding and training of staff and interns.
