Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a Stress Test Technologist to monitor patients during cardiac stress tests, operate 12-lead EKG monitoring, and ensure safety throughout procedures. You will document results and collaborate with the care team to maintain high standards of patient care.

The role requires basic computer and math skills, BLS certification, and preferred telemetry/12-lead EKG experience. This is a day shift, on-site position in Tampa, FL.

Qualifications

• Computer knowledge and basic math skills required.
• 1+ medical office experience preferred.
• Telemetry experience and 12-lead EKG familiarity preferred.
• BLS certification required; EMT or Paramedic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients during stress tests for adverse reactions.
• Observe EKG changes and respond appropriately.
• Complete stress tests by meeting testing standards.
• Enter testing results accurately into electronic health records.
• Maintain and calibrate stress testing equipment.
• Educate patients on the stress testing procedure and address concerns.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and accurate results.
• Follow established protocols for stress testing.
• Document patient information and test results thoroughly.
• Ensure a clean and safe testing environment.
• Operate stress testing equipment for tests.
• Hook patients up to a 12-lead EKG monitor for stress tests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
