Job summary

Catalyst MedTech's Diagnostic Imaging Solutions is seeking a Cardiac Stress Technician. You will prepare patients for cardiac stress testing, monitor during treadmill and pharmacologic stress, and document findings in the PACS system.

Travel to client sites in a company van is required, with strict adherence to radiation safety protocols. Ideal candidates are licensed Paramedics or LPNs with BLS/ACLS, IV insertion skills, and at least 1 year of 12-lead EKG experience.

Qualifications

• Active Paramedic or LPN license.
• Completion of an accredited emergency care, paramedicine, or nursing program.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with 12-Lead EKG.
• Ability to insert IVs.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for cardiac stress testing.
• Assess vital signs and monitor during treadmill and pharmacologic stress testing.
• Set up and monitor 12-lead EKG and symptoms.
• Prepare pharmacological stress agents and administer doses.
• Document test results and medical history in PACS.
• Initiate BLS/ACLS per emergency protocols with supervision.
• Travel to client sites in company van; follow Radiation Safety and DOT rules.
• Provide excellent patient care and customer service.
• Complete additional administrative documentation as required.

Additional administrative documentation may be required.Initiate BLS and ACLS algorithms to manage patient symptoms in the event of an emergency, under physician supervision.Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing consistent and excellent customer service and patient care at all times.Travel to client sites as scheduled. Driving company van and following Radiation Safety and DOT regulations for purpose of transporting equipment, medical supplies, radioactive material, and staff to customer site (training provided).Additional responsibilities as assigned.Minimum QualificationsActive Paramedic License OR Licensed Practical Nurse LicenseCompletion of an accredited emergency care, paramedicine, or nursing programActive BLS and ACLS CertificationMinimum of 1 year of experience with 12-Lead EKG Placement and interpretation of rhythms; I.V. insertionAbility to push/pull heavy medical equipment as a teamAbility to assist patients on and off the cameraValid Driver’s LicenseWorking Conditions:Work is performed at outpatient imaging centers, hospitals, clinics, and/or physician offices with moderate to high patient volume.
