Job summary

FMOLHS in Jackson, MS is seeking a Nurse Resident for Cardiac Stepdown to provide high-quality nursing care on the unit. You will plan, organize, and direct nursing functions, ensuring patient safety and adherence to physician orders and hospital policies.

The role requires currently licensed RN in Mississippi and BLS certification, with preferred prior general duty nursing experience. Day shift on the Med Surg Cardiac Stepdown unit at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state; Current BLS.
• Previous general duty nursing experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions on the unit.
• Initiates and implements patient care plans and medicines per physician orders.
• Maintains standards of patient care and accurate recording and reporting.
• Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel and unit performance improvement.
