Job summary

Mercy South in St. Louis, MO is seeking an RN for the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU). This full-time position offers 36 hours per week with days and nights available and a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on complex cardiovascular and thoracic patient care.

You will work with surgeons, cardiologists, and the heart clinic, participate in structured orientation and Mercy's Nurse Residency Program, and have opportunities to grow into advanced cardiac roles.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with RN licensure in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Current RN license in Missouri or compactlicensure per state regulations.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process in a CVPCU setting.
• Coordinate patient care with surgeons, cardiologists, and heart clinic to ensure safe transitions.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality.
• Participate in ongoing mentorship and professional development.
