HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Cardiac Step Down/PCU RN to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. The role includes pre- and post-operative nursing care and serving as a patient advocate to ensure an unparalleled experience.

The position is full-time, 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) with rotating weekends/holidays; MSNCB certification path and CMSRN incentives are available.

Competenze

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school; Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher required.
• Licensed as an RN in the practicing state or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
• Current BLS Health Care Provider certification required.
• Current ACLS Health Care Provider certification required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• At least 6 months RN work experience.

• Document care administration in the patient medical record in a timely, thorough manner.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CardiacStep Down/Progressive Care (PCU) Registered Nurse(RN)coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, theCardiac Step DownRNprovides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The Cardiac Step DownRNserves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is required - ok to be obtained within 30 days of transfer/hire
• At least 6 months previous RN work experience required

This is a Full Time,Day Shiftposition. Shifts are 12 hours in length (approximately 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM).

Rotating Weekends and Holidays are required.
