Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Central Massachusetts. The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge, coordinating patient plans, and collaborating with physicians and allied staff in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualified candidates will hold Massachusetts nursing licensure, BLS, and have strong knowledge of nursing fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
• BLS required; ACLS certification may be required if not current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the Nursing Process to deliver and manage patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment per procedure.
• Develops and coordinates individualized care plans including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care in the assigned setting.
• Documents patient care per procedure and policies.
• Administers medications and assists with procedures and tests as required.
