Job summary

McLaren Health Care, headquartered in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the 4 South Cardiac Step Down unit. The role supports patient-centered care under RN supervision, ensuring a conducive healing environment and adherence to care plans.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, daily activity support, and maintaining HIPAA/OSHA compliance. Requires a high school diploma, 6 months related experience, and BLS certification. Full-time schedule; EOE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of job-related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN in effort to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

BLS certification (AHA/ARC/Canadian equivalent)
