Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Nurse Assistant for the 3 South Cardiac Step Down unit. You will contribute to patient-centered care under RN supervision, performing day-to-day activities and maintaining a healing environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, six months of relevant experience, and BLS certification. Schedule is full-time with day shifts and a 72-hour biweekly expectation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of job-related experience and/or training.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC, or Canadian equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Ensures compliance with health care regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean environment and protects patients and staff by following infection-control and safety policies.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.
