Job summary

NC Health's Imaging department in NC is seeking a per diem Radiologic Technologist in training to perform radiologic procedures under direct supervision. The role requires that you are a second level student in an AMA approved radiologic technology program and in good standing with your curriculum.

You will prep patients, set technical factors, ensure safety and ALARA compliance, assist radiologists, and maintain competency through ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Must be attending AMA approved school of radiologic technology.
• Second level student in good standing with current curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for procedure, identifies patient with two identifiers.
• Produces diagnostic quality exams by setting factors and positioning patient.
• Maintains radiation safety and ALARA principles; shields patient and minimizes repeats.
• Assists radiologist in fluoroscopy procedures and room setup.
• Maintains competency through education and stays informed on policy changes.
• Communicates effectively with patients of different ages and reports issues to supervisor.
