Job summary

The University of Vermont Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a Staff Sonographer to perform diagnostic ultrasounds and other required modalities within department settings. Examinations are performed independently under physician supervision, with peer collaboration as appropriate to ensure quality care.

You will mentor and educate staff, hold applicable credentials, and meet department time and experience requirements.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; accredited ultrasound program preferred.
• Must be certified in applicable skill areas as defined for department.
• One to five years paid scanning experience.
• Applicants must be willing to train into Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasounds and other required modalities within department.
• Examinations performed independently under physician supervision with peer collaboration.
• Mentor and educate all levels of staff; meet time and experience requirements.
