Job summary

Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas is seeking an ultrasound technologist to provide care in the echocardiography department. You will perform ultrasound procedures across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, applying knowledge of anatomy and clinical judgment in line with department policies.

The role requires completion of an approved Echocardiology program and BLS certification, with registry within 18 months preferred.

• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide ultrasound procedures for diagnosing and treatment in adult, pediatric, and neonatal echocardiography.
• Apply knowledge of anatomy and professional judgement in accordance with department policies.
• Assess data reflective of patient age-specific needs and growth and development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients serviced in his/her department. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides care needed as described in the departmental policies and procedures. Provides health care services utilizing ultrasound equipment to assist in diagnosing for treatment regimen. Performs ultrasound procedures and related techniques in the area of adult, pediatric and neonatal echocardiography. Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy for interpretation by, or at the request of the licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor that reflects a high standard of medical ethics. Recognizes conditions essential for the successful completion of procedures. Provides appropriate health care services to all patients within the scope of licensure or certification. Performs other duties as assigned.
