Job summary

Atrius Health, part of the Optum family, seeks a Cardiac Ultrasonographer to perform specialized heart ultrasound exams in a multi-location setting. You will work with cardiology staff to obtain high-quality images and ensure patient safety and privacy.

The role requires RDCS certification, BLS/ACLS as applicable, and the ability to work independently. Prior adult echo experience is preferred, with a focus on accuracy and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• RDCS certification required.
• ACLS may be required depending on specialty.
• BLS certification required.
• Must provide CEU documentation for certification.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills.
• Preferred: 2+ years of adult echo and stress/echo experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult M-Mode, 2-D, Doppler and color Doppler echocardiograms.
• Conduct stress/echoes, dobutamine echoes and contrast studies.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and interpret images for the cardiologist.
• Document findings, measurements and dates of exams.
• Communicate effectively with patients and health care team members.
• Ensure patient safety, confidentiality and report distribution.
• Manage equipment issues and appointment confirmations.
