Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN seeks a part-time echocardiography technician with radiologic/sonography training to support the imaging team. You will complete patient charts, explain procedures, and assist during transesophageal and stress echo cases under physician review.

Qualifications include 2–3 years of specialized education beyond high school, ARRT/ARDMS/RDCS/RCVT/RVT certification or eligibility, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of two/three years of occupationally specific education beyond high school in radiologic technology, sonography, other related education, or on the job training.
• Licensure: ARRT, ARDMS, RDCS, RCVT, RVT or equivalent certification; Registry eligible with status within 2 years of hire.
• CPR certification.
• Experience: two years of related education beyond high school in radiologic technology, sonography, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient charts prior to procedure and pulls previous Echocardiograms; stress echos; review by interpreting physician.
• Explains diagnostic procedures and answers patient questions prior to testing; documents patient history and medications on the patient chart.
• Measures and records dimensions of heart structures according to established procedures.
• Assists physician during transesophageal and stress echo procedures.
