Job Summary:

Responsible for supervising inpatient and outpatient staff sonographers. This supervision includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating both direct and indirect care of patients in the echocardiography laboratories for inpatient and outpatient settings.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The following summarizes the major functions of this role. The individual may perform other duties, both major and minor, not listed here, and specific functions may change over time.

• Echocardiography imaging and testing

• Staff development and oversight

• Department operations oversight

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• AS or BS degree from an accredited ultrasound program preferred

• Registered Adult Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and/or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI)

• BLS certification
