Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a skilled Echo Technologist to perform 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and Doppler echocardiography on adult and geriatric patients.

The role requires RDCS/RCS/RCCS/CRCS or ACS credentials and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. Preferred candidates may hold society memberships or graduate from an accredited sonography program.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED: RDCS, RCS/RCCS, CRCS or ACS credential from ARDMS/CCI/Canada as applicable.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• PREFERRED: membership in professional sonography societies; graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.

• Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on adults and geriatric patients.
• Maintains performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound per IAC guidelines.

Responsibilities

Performs 2-D, M-mode, color flow mapping and cardiac Doppler echocardiography tests on the adult and geriatric patient population. Responsible for maintaining performance improvement documentation in cardiac and ultrasound in accordance with IAC.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

An appropriate credential in echocardiography:

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
• Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification

PREFERRED

Membership in professional society or societies related to the field of sonography.

Graduate of an accredited sonography or cardiovascular technology program.
