Job summary

Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA is seeking a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist to perform echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms under physician direction. You will carry out diagnostic imaging procedures and maintain patient safety and equipment standards.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of echocardiography experience, strong English communication, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper body mechanics and use PPE as needed.

Job description

Scheduled Weekly Hours

0 - Under the general direction of the physician and within established departmental and office guidelines, performs all duties of a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist. Performs all diagnostic-testing procedures which will include Echocardiograms and Stress Echocardiograms as ordered by the physician.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience

• One to two years previous experience required


• Skilled professional with a solid foundation in Echocardiography


• Command of verbal and written English


• Positive interpersonal communication skills


• Strong organizational skills

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience

• Knowledge of medical terminology


• Computer skills


• Ability to work effectively within role independently and with other team members


• Able to use proper body mechanics


• Able to wear personal protective equipment (e.g., face mask, goggles, latex/nonlatex gloves) as needed

Educational Requirements

• Completion of an accredited ultrasound school with a focus on Echocardiography, and or on-site apprenticeship with a Echocardiography laboratory.

License/Certification

• Registration with ARDMS , CCI or RCS and CPR certification required.

Salary Range

$40.39-$62.82
