Northwestern Medicine seeks a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our imaging team. Under general supervision, you will produce diagnostic ultrasound images and provide information to radiologists for interpretation, while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.

You will review requisitions, operate ultrasound equipment, perform quality control, and document procedures in the hospital information system. ARDMS Echo and RVT certifications are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• Must hold ARDMS Echo certification or be registry eligible.
• Registered RVT is required.
• Experience with ultrasound imaging and patient assessment.

Responsabilités

• Review procedure requisitions for appropriateness and document order details.
• Document pertinent patient information according to department policies.
• Operate imaging equipment according to established procedures (Ultrasound units).
• Prepare images for interpretation and archive retention.
• Follow infection control procedures at all times.
• Maintain equipment and work area and perform quality control testing.
